10 years Gas Analysis Workshops

On June 8th 2011 - 10 years ago - we had our first international workshop on tar analysis. From this starting point multiple activities developed to achieve progress in gas analysis for gas producing processes.
We plan a short coming together on June 8th 2021 to review and to talk about ideas for follow up activities. Invitations are send out by e-mail.

Gas Analysis Guideline Report published

The new Gas Analysis Guideline Report (Part I and Part II) gives a comprehensive overview on the current state of the art of gas sampling and analysis techniques applied in the laboratories dealing with gasification or thermo-chemical conversion technologies in a broader sense.

Gas Analysis Workshop 2017 Berlin

Berlin

We organized a second Gas Analysis Workshop this year of our gas analysis working group which takes place on September 7 and 8 in Berlin. Host will be the chair for Energy Process Engineering and for Conversion Technologies of Renewable Energies (EVUR) at the institute of energy engineering at TU Berlin. We will start with presentations coming from the group of York Neubauer, who worked here the past decade and finishes now his 5-year junior research group project.

Gas Analysis Workshop 2017 Stockholm

Our annual Gas Analysis Workshop 2017 will take place at KTH in Stockholm on Friday June 16th 2017. We are happy to have KTH as our host this year. The event will be supported by the swedish gasification center where academia and industry collaborate in the field of gasification. Furthermore we have the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the SPA method by Brage et al. So being in the place where this method was applied for sampling and analysis of tar we dedicate a program point to this issue.

Gas Analysis Workshop 2016 Amsterdam

On Friday, June 10th 2016, we will have our 7th consecutive Gas Analysis Workshop. The support of ECN, EERA Bioenergy and SCCER biosweet allows us once more to have this meeting without additional costs for the participants. If you have not yet registered please do so by contacting Dr-Ing. York Neubauer at TU Berlin. Find here the latest information on the workshop and the program .
See you in Amsterdam!

The next Gas Analysis Workshop is planned to take place in Amsterdam on Friday, June 10th 2016.
If you plan to attend the meeting please send an e-mail to York Neubauer at TU Berlin.
Further information about the workshop topics will follow soon on this website.

Gas Analysis Workshop 2015 Vienna

Our sixth consecutive workshop dealing with process gas analysis took place in Vienna on June 5th 2015. A key aspect of this meeting was the needs and analytical perspective from industry. Representatives from industrially operated demonstration plants presented as well as participants who work for research institution in collaborative projects with industry. Further future needs were discussed and information was shared bilaterally during the breaks.

New website for the Gas Analysis Working Group

We now have set up a new website for the online collaboration and exchange of experiences at gas-analysis.info. This site provides the means for efficient, modern communication within the group. You can easiliy join the topical groups of your interest and you will be informed of upcoming webinars and workshops specific to that topic or you can use for discussing details within the topics. The site is based on drupal commons, a freely available tool for on-line collaborative work.
